Much to our surprise the lease for the Art Tunnel was not extended. The Art Tunnel closed to the public in March 2014.
On the last day of it's opening all Art Tunnelers performed a closing procedure. Installing 400 metres of electric tape around the community platform- where the bar was installed for the closing party later that evening. Putting the white tape under current meant that everyone had to duck and dive to get to the bar to not get an electric shock.
This is a symbolic installation to the visitors of the Closing party performed by the Art Tunnel Community. For the Art Tunnelers it was a piece of Live art to help us understand that the Art Tunnel days are over.
